PRIVACY NOTICE

How we use your details

This notice explains how Simcott Group uses the information you send through the enquiry forms on www.simcottstira.co.uk.

Who we are

Simcott Group is responsible for your information (the data controller). For any question about your information, email stira@simcott.co.uk or call 01376 514819.

What we collect

When you ask for a quotation or a survey we collect your name, email address, phone number, street address and postcode, your property type and, if you give it, your floor-to-ceiling height. For commercial enquiries we also collect your company name.

The website doesn't store your enquiry. It is sent to our team by email.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a quotation. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We don't use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.

Spam protection

Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to check that enquiries come from people, not automated programs. reCAPTCHA loads when you start filling in a form and collects information about your device and how you use the page, which it sends to Google. Google's use of that information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Who else handles your information

We use trusted suppliers to run this website: Sightrank (who manage the website for us), Vercel (website hosting) and Amazon Web Services (delivering the enquiry email). They only handle your information to provide these services to us. Some suppliers may process information outside the UK, with safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry only as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
